Our successes are not only in the percentage of growth in our programs and the expansion of our partnerships but most markedly in the success of our Corps members and Alumni.

- • Furthering the mission of becoming leaders in the Chicago Public Schools, two alumni of ICTC assumed principal positions. John Price (VTC 1997) and Katie Konieczny (UNITE 2003) were named principal at Audubon and Oscar Mayer Elementary School respectively.
- Innovators in Education

• VTC Alumnus Roel Vivit along with two other Golden Apple Award Winners developed and opened Polaris Charter Academy (www.pcachicago.org) in 2007. Roel currently serves as the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction.
• Kinder Excellence in Teaching Award Winner, David Ayala (VTC 2002) is the Vice Principal at KIPP DC: Key Academy. - Local and National Award Winners

• Rosemary Mangosing (VTC 2001) was one of five teachers named as a winner for the 10th anniversary Kohl McCormick Early Childhood Teaching Awards in 2005.
• Jenny Sime (VTC 2003) was a 2006 recipient of a Golden Apple Award. She became the second ICTC alum in as many years to receive this prestigious award. Roel Vivit (VTC 2000) was a 2005 recipient. - Rising Stars

• Megan Burns (UNITE 2004), Heather Kelsey (VTC 2003), Claudine Randolph (VTC 2003), and Veronica Ruelas (VTC 2000) were named Golden Apple Teachers of Distinction at the 2008 Golden Apple Award (missing from the picture Veronica Ruelas).
