5 of 2008’s 31 Golden Apple Award Finalists are proud alumni of the Volunteer Teaching Corps/UNITE program.
The Golden Apple Foundation announced finalists for the 2008 Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching in grades 4 through 8. The 5 exceptional teachers (as pictured above) from ICTC’s programs are Kate Noonan (VTC 2006), Megan Burns (UNITE 2004), Claudine Randolph (VTC 2003), Veronica Ruelas (VTC 2000), and Heather Kelsey (VTC 2003). Their selection once again speaks to the quality and depth of talent entering our public and catholic schools through our outreach and professional development.
This year’s Golden Apple Award winners and Teachers of Distinction were announced in mid-April.
Megan Burns (UNITE 2004), Heather Kelsey (VTC 2003), Claudine Randolph (VTC 2003), and Veronica Ruelas (VTC 2000) were proudly named 2008 Teachers of Distinction.
These awardees join previous finalists/Award winners Jennifer Sime(VTC 2003) and Roel Vivit(VTC 2000) the Co-Founder of Polaris Charter Academy.
